Good Business: Renewable Energy in Southeast Europe

Presented by: Igor Stamenkovic & Nikola Milivojevic – Renewable Energy Solutions Technologies, Inc

renewenerg1Advancing technology and various rebate programs enable renewable energy sources to become affordable and competitive with conventional energy sources. Southeast Europe is passing laws with feed-in tariffs defining the guaranteed price for every unit of energy harvested from renewable sources. With these tariffs, investing in renewable energy in Southeast Europe is becoming both an environmental and business-driven decision.

Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) Technologies, Inc. brings innovative renewable energy solutions (solar, wind, biomass) to support a sustainable lifestyle. RES Technologies' environmentally-friendly systems, products and consulting services allow consumers to run an energy-sustainable business and be less dependent on electric utilities.

Toward Zero Energy in China - Pearl River Tower

Presented by: Russell Gilchrist – Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLPrenewenergy2

The Pearl River Tower was conceived as a ‘net zero energy’ operating skyscraper that would generate enough energy to offset its own demand. With the tower nearing completion now, that ambition will not be fully realized, in part due to the regulations of the energy companies involved. In this presentation we hear about some of the opportunities and challenges of building both tall and sustainable in China.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP is an international firm specializing in architecture, engineering, design and planning.
