Our story began in 2006 when CEO Emanuel Bistrian began investing in real estate properties in Romania. As an American and Romanian citizen, Emanuel Bistrian returned to live in Romania after a period of 16 years spent in the USA. While living in the United States, Emanuel owned a construction firm, so he was immediately impressed by the opportunity to invest in Romania’s real estate segment. The country had grown with its recent accession into the European Union.
EAIG began as a family owned and operated business to which 5 of Emanuel’s 6 sisters, together with his 5 brothers, contributed. As the business expanded, many other relatives also contributed as project investors. After that, many of his friends, acquaintances and even former clients of the USA construction firm became partners and invested in various real estate properties.
The cities in Romania that EAIG choose for investments include: Arad (the most western city of the country, situated at the Hungarian border) and Cluj (one of the most beautiful and well known cities in Romania).
Currently, EAIG’s work consists of compacting large plots of land that are rezoned for residential subdivisions, commercial centers, or industrial parks. Due to the size of property, the company is able to influence the development of an entire area without having to wait on city growth and expansion. One of the largest projects is a residential area of over 150 acres in Arad. The attractive master plan consists of 600 single family houses, 100 townhomes, 1300 flats, 400,000 square feet of commercial space. The concept of a suburb is highly appreciated by the Romanian people.
Another ongoing project is the development of a 65 hectares logistics center, situated on the European road Arad – Timisoara, with access to railroads and close to the Prague- Vienna - Bratislava- Budapest-/-ARAD – Constanta - Sofia – Istanbul highway. The anticipated complete date for this exciting project is 2011.
